John Shackleford of Shackelford, McKinley & Norton, LLP was featured in Homes.com discussing the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) allocating a record $114 million in federal tax credits to develop or rehabilitate affordable housing units across 70 projects, with the highest funding going to Houston and San Antonio.  

Mr. Shackelford said that the credits are sold to investors who receive a reduction in federal tax liabilities for providing equity for the projects. Shackelford represents affordable housing developers, nonprofit groups and agencies.
