Firm will assume 4,475 square feet of office space at The Chamberlain
CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – Schouest, Bamdas, Soshea, BenMaier & Eastham PLLC (SBSB Eastham) announced today it is opening a new law office in one of Corpus Christi’s most historic buildings.
The firm will occupy 4,475 square feet of office space on the second floor of The Chamberlain, located at 807 N. Upper Broadway in Corpus Christi. The building location was the site of the original 1857 Corpus Christi Lighthouse and the building itself first served as the headquarters of supermarket chain H-E-B.
“This new office space speaks to the importance of Corpus Christi for our firm and its future growth,” said SBSB Eastham managing partner John Schouest. “Over the last decade, the Port of Corpus Christi has been one of the fastest growing major ports in the United States. For our maritime clients, it is important that we have a presence there. Corpus Christi as a city is also thriving, and I am pleased that we can help clients there in other areas as well.”
The Corpus Christi office is led by SBSB Eastham partner Carra Miller. She is joined by partners Thomas Deen and Don Jones.
“I am very excited for what this new space means for our Corpus Christi team and for our firm as a whole,” said Ms. Miller. “This office will allow us to develop and grow our team and our clientele now and for many years to come.”
As a seasoned maritime litigator, Ms. Miller has extensive experience representing clients in maritime and civil litigation areas, including commercial disputes, vessel collisions and allisions, surges, cargo, environmental matters, trucking, and defense of personal injury and death cases.
Mr. Deen, a veteran litigator, arbitrator and counsel, has dedicated more than 40 years to maritime law. He also represents clients in other areas, including construction, energy, transportation, and business transactions.
Mr. Jones, who joined SBSB Eastham in July 2024, has been a Corpus Christi litigator for more than 20 years. He focuses on commercial and business litigation, construction litigation, real estate and oil and gas.
