Hilgers PLLC Partner Alec Schultz was featured in Newsweek discussing the proposed merger of United Airlines with American Airlines i to enhance global competitiveness. The move was met with skepticism from industry experts and analysts, warning that such a merger could lead to higher airfares, fewer route options, and diminished service for passengers.  

Mr. Schultz told Newsweek that the proposal would “very likely” increase ticket prices over time and reduce consumer choice without significant divestitures.
