Zehl & Associates law firm was featured in the Houston Chronicle after the June 2026 crash of a Tesla Model 3 that resulted in a wrongful death lawsuit and federal investigation. The incident involved the driver of the vehicle crashing into a home in Katy, Texas, striking and killing the resident inside. While the driver initially claimed failure of the vehicle’s Autopilot, data logs later indicated the driver manually overrode the system, leading to the fatal crash and subsequent manslaughter charges.  

Attorneys with Zehl & Associates told news media that the firm plans to file suit against Tesla and the driver on behalf of the victim’s family. Numerous people in recent years have sued Tesla over these technologies.
