Comments from Mark Lanier and Sam Tayor of the Lanier Law Firm were featured in reports by national media outlets People Magazine and USA Today after the widow of Captain Dana Diamond filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Boeing and General Electric following the November 20, 2025, crash of UPS Airlines Flight 2976.  

The lawsuit alleges catastrophic mechanical failure in the Boeing 747-8 aircraft, claiming that design and manufacturing defects in the GE-manufactured engines and flight control systems caused the crash near Louisville, Kentucky, which resulted in 15 total fatalities.  

The complaint alleges that both Boeing and GE were aware of potential vulnerabilities in the propulsion systems but failed to issue necessary safety warnings or retrofits.
