The Aldous Law Firm was featured in The Dallas Morning News for securing a settlement in a case against rideshare company Lyft. The firm represented a woman who was raped by one of Lyft’s drivers, helping her reach a confidential agreement ahead of trial.
Firm founder Charla Aldous said that while she is pleased about the settlement, she remains concerned that this type of assault is not an isolated incident.
“Women everywhere who use these companies for a ride need to be aware of the dangers. And the companies need to do more to make sure their riders are safe. My hope is that this kind of outcome will provide an incentive for the companies to do things differently,” Ms. Aldous said.
