Lynn Pinker Hurst & Schwegmann partner Michael K. Hurst was featured in The Texas Lawbook after a Dallas County jury returned a defense verdict in a breach of contract and fiduciary duty dispute between developers Ronny Hecht and Avishai Ron regarding a valuable commercial property adjacent to the Dallas Mavericks’ new arena site.
Following a weeklong trial, a jury cleared Hecht of accusations that he breached his fiduciary duties by selling the former LA Fitness property for $8.5 million; dismissing claims it was sold below market value.
The story quoted Mr. Hurst, who told jurors the harm alleged in this case had nothing to do with Hecht’s alleged mismanagement but instead centered on Ron’s vindictive actions after Hecht ended their partnership.
