Affordable House News recently featured partner John Shackelford of Shackelford law firm commenting on how legislative changes may impact the state’s affordable housing outlook.

“Texas, being the second most popular state, will get the second-highest percentage of those tax credits allocated. Superficially, that sounds great, that means more credits, more deals-that should be good for our clients; therefore, it should be good for us. But (consider) supply and demand. If there were more credits available, what does that do to the value of them? The value goes down…”, said Mr. Shackleford.
