David Coale, appellate partner at Lynn Pinker Hurst & Schwegmann, joined Scripps News Network to offer live analysis of the U.S. Supreme Court proceedings regarding access to the widely used abortion medication mifepristone.
With a conservative majority of 6-3, the court recently heard oral arguments on the Biden administration’s appeal of lower court decisions that limited women’s access to the drug, including its availability via mail.
“Their concern is if we allow you to bring this case, who’s going to be next? And what’s going to be left of medical device regulation in the United States after that?” Coale said.
