Newsweek Turns to Mary Goodrich Nix to Break Down Viral Two Weeks’ Notice Debate

LPHS partner Mary Goodrich Nix spoke with Newsweek to provide her legal analysis to a viral Reddit post that described how a worker gave her boss two weeks’ notice and the boss refused to accept the resignation.  

“Unless the employee has a contract that states otherwise, they can resign voluntarily at any time for any reason,” Ms. Nix told Newsweek. “No obligation to provide a two-week notice—or any notice—unless contractually required.”
