The $445.5 million verdict on behalf of Collision Communications Inc. secured by Longview-based Miller Fair Henry in support of lead counsel Caldwell Cassady & Curry earned a spot on Law360’s Legal Lions feature.

The verdict from a federal jury in the Eastern District of Texas found that technology giant Samsung infringed four Collision patents related to wireless communication interference reduction used in its mobile devices.

In late September a separate jury awarded $78.5 million to Anonymous Media Research Holdings Inc. after finding Samsung infringed on two patents covering technology used to measure media consumption in its televisions. Miller Fair Henry attorneys also served as local trial counsel in that case, in support of Ahmad, Zavitsanos & Mensing (AZA).
