A legal team from Lynn Pinker Hurst & Schwegmann was featured in The Texas Lawbook after securing asylum for a Venezuelan political activist after a 10-year pro bono effort.

Immigration Judge Kevin Gross ruled that the activist faced a systematic campaign of government persecution, including violence and threats. The Department of Homeland Security failed to prove that safety conditions in Venezuela had not improved, making the victory final since the U.S. government declined to appeal.
