Lynn Pinker Hurst & Schwegmann partner David Coale was recently interviewed in Fortune Magazine’s article, “A Trump loss in his tariff court case could mean a $150 billion refund for American businesses—here’s how they could get their money back.”  

The story focused on American importers reacting to a federal court of appeals ruling that President Trump overstepped his authority when he imposed sweeping tariffs. Business are now looking at how to get refunded over $150 million.  

“It’s an important issue, but the administration may just decide to reboot its tariff program on a more solid legal footing, trying to rely on other statutes besides these ‘emergency’ ones,” Mr. Coale said.
