An article in the Houston Chronicle covers the latest developments of a lawsuit filed by Mahendru P.C. trial attorney Ashish Mahendru on behalf of his clients, Kin Dee LLC and Warattayar “Lukkaew” Srasrisuwan. Kin Dee is a popular Thai eatery that opened in the Houston Heights area in 2020.
The lawsuit alleges that Mr. Srasrisuwan’s former business partner in the restaurant, Miranda Loetkhamfu, has violated the terms of a noncompete agreement, which included a covenant not to operate a Thai restaurant within 15 miles of Kin Dee’s location, and using her buyout payment of $940,000 to help start two competing businesses.
“‘Here’s the million dollars,’” Mr. Mahendru told the publication, describing Srasrisuwan’s perspective. “(then) Miranda turns around and starts two restaurants, not one.”
