“I think you’ve got a viable business. … The bankruptcy will help trim some of the excess production capabilities and fat that has kept them from being successful,” Scheinberg said. Scheinberg cautions, however, that Dean Foods’ current predicament should serve as a warning for other milk producers. “It’s not the economy, it’s the state of milk,” Scheinberg said.
