A federal judge has denied motions by Gateway Church and its founder Robert Morris to dismiss a lawsuit accusing the church of misleading congregants on how tithes would be used.  

The Dallas Morning News reported on the case and included comments from Dortch Lindstrom Livingston Law Group partner Micah Dortch, who represents the plaintiffs. 

“We’re pleased that the court acknowledged the credibility of my clients’ claims, and the degree of damage done by Gateway’s leadership — not only financially but morally and ethically,” said Mr. Dortch. “We look forward to continuing to pursue these claims and hold a bright light on the actions of those responsible.”
