Dean Omar Branham Shirley secured a landmark $42 million verdict against Johnson & Johnson in a case involving the company’s well-known baby powder. 

The lawsuit, filed in 2021 by Paul and Kathryn Lovell, alleged that Paul’s lifelong use of the product exposed him to asbestos, leading to his mesothelioma diagnosis. 

The jury’s decision drew national attention, with coverage appearing in Reuters,Texas Lawbook, Law.com, and Boston’s ABC affiliate among others.
