The Portland Business Journal highlighted the work of Dean Omar Branham Shirley in its coverage of a $34.2 million mesothelioma verdict in a lawsuit against John Crane, secured on behalf of a former shipyard worker exposed to asbestos-containing products at a Swan Island repair facility.
“That was not in dispute, and everyone agreed that his mesothelioma was caused by asbestos exposure,” DOBS attorney Mark Linder said. “What the dispute was over is whether John Crane’s asbestos products were part of the asbestos exposure that caused the disease.”
