Lynn Pinker Hurst & Schwegmann appellate attorney David Coale’s comments were featured by CBS News after Karmelo Anthony’s legal team filed a notice of appeal following his murder conviction, formally initiating the appellate process to preserve his right to challenge the verdict and sentence before a higher court.  

Mr. Coale, who was not involved in the case, said the strongest issues on appeal may have little to do with the evidence jurors heard and more to do with whether the trial was conducted properly.
