Burns Charest LLP partner Darren Nicholson and associate Hannah Crowe were interviewed by Washington D. C.-area and national media including People Magazine, New York Post, Fox 5 Washington D.C, and The Daily Beast after filing a wrongful death lawsuit on behalf of the family of 33-year-old Department of Defense employee. Porscha Tynisha Brown died following a medical emergency on a Korean Air flight from Virginia to Seoul in March 2024. The wrongful death lawsuit alleges that crew members failed to provide adequate care, specifically failing to plug an oxygen mask into the tank while the passenger struggled to breathe.
“This is a case about accountability,” Mr. Nicholson said in a People.com report. “Airlines have a duty to protect their passengers, especially during medical emergencies. Ms. Brown deserved that care and her family deserves better.”
