Dallas trial attorney Brent Walker was quoted among eight other prominent Texas attorneys in the Texas Lawbook/Dallas Morning News piece – “Legal Experts: River Inn, Mystic Camp and Others to Face Investigations and Litigation.”
The article centered on the pending litigation and various questions surrounding how the devastating loss of life from this tragedy could have perhaps been prevented. More than 120 people, including 36 children, died in flash flooding from the Guadalupe River overnight on July 4th, 2025.
“The moment there is a warning, the camp operators should have taken action to follow the plan,” Mr. Walker said. “When you have a camp built on a river that is known to be prone to flooding and the only people you have supervising small children are young teenagers themselves, you better have precautions set it in place.”
