ABC News Nightline recently featured a segment on Shackelford, McKinley & Norton’s ongoing lawsuit against a surrogacy escrow management company.
“A lot of these escrow funds were intended to pay for the surrogate’s medical care and prenatal care,” firm partner Marianne Robak told ABC. “So, if they are not able to get medical treatment or prenatal care that puts those children at risk, that puts the surrogate’s health at risk as well.”
The lawsuit targets Surrogacy Escrow Account Management (SEAM) and its owner, Dominique Side. The filing says she used the escrow accounts to fund her lavish lifestyle and music career.
