A California couple will be able to make numerous accommodations to improve their lives following a $9.6 million verdict against American Airlines, according to recent article in People.
Jesus Plasencia suffered a series of strokes before and after takeoff for an international flight in 2021, but evidence presented at trial showed that the flight crew failed to follow proper procedures for a medical emergency. As a result of the delay in treatment, Mr. Plasencia cannot speak, write, walk or perform other routine tasks without assistance. Hannah Crowe of Burns Charest, one of the attorneys who conducted the trial, told People the outcome will be “life changing”
“They want to do some home improvements to make their house more accessible for Mr. Plasencia… They’ll now be able to live the life of dignity that they deserve.”
